Bina Murarka
Bina Murarka arrived in the U.S. at the young age of three. She lived and studied in several countries besides the U.S., such as Chile, Peru, Italy and Canada, as her father worked for the United Nations. She attended Stanford University for her undergraduate studies (where she met Ramesh) and then completed her graduate studies in Sociology and Journalism at UC-Riverside. Bina is a meticulous editor, always demanding the best from her team of talented writers. She is very cognizant of the issues confronting the Indian immigrant community settled in the U.S. and strives to deal with these issues in a very detailed and responsible manner. The 43 awards for journalistic excellence are testimony to this hard work and dedication of Bina Murarka.
