Bill Nordman

William’s background began in the accounting world as a Certified Public Accountant working for a national firm (Ernst & Ernst) in 1970. In 1975 he opened his own firm in Tucson, Arizona and later in Nogales, Arizona on the Mexican border where his clientele were predominantly large produce brokerage firms involved in international import trade. While William had his accounting firm, he also worked with software development and sales firms on accounting software and the early development of spreadsheet programs. This included being a sales representative attending national software exhibitions throughout the U.S. The move to the Winchester, Virginia area in 1992 lead to consulting activity in both accounting and the computer/software business. William started his real estate career in 1995 in the Commercial arena with a small, Winchester firm, but defaulted to part-time residential as a result of being hired by a software development firm for marketing and sales. When that software firm was bought out, William’s full-time real estate broker career kicked in with the 2001 acquisition of a niche real estate firm that primarily handled historic properties. As a broker/ owner with an extensive business background, the range of transactions was expanded to include farms, development land, commercial entities, and combined property and business opportunities. The return to the Commercial arena full-time has been a melding of a desire to better utilize his business background and to associate with a national commercial real estate firm. Holding a broker’s license in the neighboring states of West Virginia and North Carolina along with his Virginia broker’s license was a contributing factor to make this a solid, progressive and productive move.
