Albert Symes

Al Symes founded Symes Associates in 1967. He passed leadership of the company to his eldest son, Landers, in 2003. A conservationist and outdoorsman at heart, Al is constantly exploring better ways to bring much needed housing to the marketplace while consuming less land and creating minimal disruption to the environment. Following graduation from West Point in 1962, Al served in the Air Force for five years. A proactive supporter of smart planning, Al is a member of the Green Neighborhood Alliance. Al is also a Founding Trustee of Stoneham Theatre and served as its first Chairman. Al lives in Rockport with his wife Barbara. He has five children and 12 grandchildren.
