The property is being offered in its entirety, with bulk Published Reserve of $1,140,000, and with options to submit bids on four individual properties, or in combination of the four. All sales are subject to total bids to equal, or exceed, the bulk published reserve price.
The permitted Bingen pit has an over fifty-year history of operations with SDS Lumber. Basalt rock was periodically mined and crushed into various sizes for use in both its mill and timberlands, and occasionally for purchase by local operators. Seller has not operated the pit since its purchase in November, 2021. It is one of the largest permitted rock pits within the Columbia River Gorge, with strategic location to serve the Portland and Vancouver markets, and proximity to future road and infrastructure projects.
