The site extends to approximately 4.11 ha (10.15 acres) or thereby and forms part of a regenerated former railway goods yard, now prime development land.
Seabraes Yards was conceived as a response to the substantial growth in the city's digital media sector and offers a modern business environment for creative media industries. The eastern part of the site has been identified as a hub for digital media and creative industries.
The site is within walking distance of Dundee's cultural quarter.
Planning: The site is covered by Policy 2: Specialist Economic Development Areas within the Dundee Council Local Plan which states encouragement will be given to the establishment and retention of uses within Class 4 (Business), particularly those uses which are in accordance with the distinctive nature of the area. Other complimentary Class 4 uses will be considered.
