Craigiehall House is a 17th Century country house, set in a beautiful semi-rural location. Extensions were added in the 19th and 20th centuries to create a large northern wing. It has been most recently used by the MOD as part of the wider Craigiehall Barracks site as Officers Mess and accommodation. The property is arranged over 4 storeys in total, albeit some of the later additions only contain two storeys. The original house contains the main hosting space including two large rooms spanning the full length of the building as well as a lower ground level bar and social space opening onto an outside terrace. The main entrance hall and some of the principle rooms have a host of original features including wood panelling with inlaid oil paintings, ornate fire places and detailed cornicing.
