Built in 1979, The University Markertplace (formerly know as the University Mall) experienced major renovations from 2005 to present. The most major change was a conversion from a traditional mall with interior hallways to a strip-center style marketplace which left every store with their own storefront and entrance. The University Marketplace is locally owned and operated. The University Mall was rebranded to University Marketplace in 2021.
