920 Cherry Street SE is a four story, brick and terra cotta national landmark. Originally constructed in 1908, it is a 30,000 sq foot office building in the heart of East Hills, located just ten minutes southeast of downtown Grand Rapids. This landmark boasts large formal gardens in the front of the building, outdoor patios on each level, a large assembly hall (booked months in advance), a formal boardroom, two kitchens, two elevators, signage on Cherry Street, and fifty-four designated parking spaces. This building went under a complete renovation in 2008– so it is a unique combination of the beautiful architecture and character of a historic building paired with the newest technology which landed the building with a LEED gold certification, making it very efficient to maintain. Every effort was make to make this building stand out, from restoring the original terrazzo floor to remaking the gardens to match the original one planted in 1908 to adding rooftop solar panels.
