Columbia Place Mall is the largest two-level, enclosed shopping center(1,094,531 sf) in the Columbia metro area and is home to one of the top producing Macy’s in the district. The center is strategically located in a high density area with population of over 125,000 within a 5 mile radius. The center is anchored by Macy’s and is home to a variety of national retailers including McDonald’s, Bath and Body Works, and Party City. Richland County Government is relocating their core operations to Columbia Place Mall, allowing for services to be more centrally located and easily accessible for residents, while adaptively reusing 244,813 SF of pre-exisiting space. Columbia Place Mall will be home to both state and county agencies, including: Richland County Courthouse, Administation, Community Planning & Development, Economic Development, Elections & Voter Registration, Emergency Services, Public Health, Social Services, Transportation and others. Green space will be added to maintain a retail presence along Two Notch Road to encourage multi-use development.
