The MEV is Milton’s future innovation and education district, planned to accommodate over 22,000 residents and jobs by 2051. Anchored by a 50-acre post-secondary campus (Wilfrid Laurier University & Conestoga College) and a Schlegel Villages long-term care facility, the community will include mixed housing, retail, services, schools, parks, and transit infrastructure — all designed to support complete, walkable neighbourhoods. The subject site is located near the planned “main street” village centre and neighbourhood commercial zones.
