We are in the heart of many many Federal, State and Municipal organizations and a block from SF City Hall. The organizations include:
The California Supreme Court; The Criminal Justice Court of SF; The SF Public Utilities; The SF Water Department; The IRS; The US District Court; US Equal Employment Opportunities Commission; The Army Corp of Engineers; The Department of Homeland Security; The US Passport Agency; The US District Court; The Judicial Council of Calf.; The Small Claims Court; The NLRB Offices; The Judicial Council of Calif.; The Industrial Relations Department; The US Attorney's Executive Office.
One side of our building faces Golden Gate Ave. One side faces Turk Street and the 3rd side is on an ally (Elm Street), which during daylight hours is occupied by the children from the Tenderloin Community Elementary School. The ally has significant decoration on the sidewalks, the fences and some of the buildings reminding all that this is a children's place for play and education.
We also have a Civic Center Ambassador Program.
The Civic Center Community Benefit District (CCCBD) provides orange-uniformed street ambassadors near City Hall, operating 7 AM–7 PM daily, plus evening ambassadors (Tuesday-Saturday, 6–11 PM) for safety, cleaning, and hospitality in the plaza and nearby areas.
