Situated in the heart of the vibrant Theater District of downtown Houston, Bayou Place has served as a catalyst for an explosion of entertainment-related development around it. Developed in partnership with the City of Houston, Bayou Place transformed a vacated convention center into a thriving entertainment project, now anchored by the Bayou Music Center. In 2006, the project was expanded to include a major office component, which has proved a great success and additional economic driver for the area. Bayou Place is a winner of the Urban Land Institute Award of Excellence.
