500 Navarro was designed as a commercial, mixed-use development. Housing the second oldest Walgreen’s lease in the history of the chain, the building’s contextual design reflects the surrounding neighborhood’s materiality and reinforces the urban scale, proportion, pattern and detailing of its neighbors along Houston and Navarro Streets.
The building is located adjacent to the San Antonio River Walk and The Alamo – two World Renown Tourist Destinations drawing millions of visitors every year. San Antonio’s growing downtown has become home to 100+ technology companies, and Houston Street has become the central corridor for much of that growth.
