All buildings are of conventional metal construction and have been occupied and maintained continuously since construction. The approximate dimensions are shown in the attached maps. All are single story. A chain link fence surrounds the active half of the property (buildings and pond), while a small fence surrounds the remaining, unused half of the property.
The pond is double, High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) membrane lined, with a leak detection monitoring well. The pond is fully approved, and permitted by the Nevada Department of Environmental protection (NDEP). The NDEP permit number is: NS0060044 (or NEV60044 it was changed slightly some years ago). The permit limit is 5,000 gallons per day (average). Complete records, testing results, etc. are available from the date of construction in roughly 1986. In January, 2000, the original PVC liners were replaced with HDPE liners, again with NDEP approval and supervision. Quarterly and annual testing has been done and reported to the NDEP since construction.
Since construction the plant has been used to evaporate waste water from the washing and dyeing of domestic turkey feathers. All of the dyes and chemicals that have been used since construction are NON TOXIC, and NON HAZARDOUS. None of the dyes used contain heavy metals. Complete test results and process details are available from the NDEP or from us.’
The electric data is taken from the only electric input to the property. 1200 amps, 240 volts, 3 phase is the total for the input.
