River Point is located along the Chicago River at 444 W. Lake Street (on the northeast corner of Canal Street and Lake Street) in downtown Chicago. The Project has approximately 560 feet of frontage along the river.
The Project consists of approximately 1,080,000 rentable square feet (“RSF”) of office space. Rising 50 stories above downtown Chicago, River Point has been developed on a site encompassing 111,000 square feet over two and a half acres. Each office floor totals approximately 26,000 RSF, providing dramatic views in all directions. The central feature of the development is a 1.5 acre plaza and park between the office tower and the Chicago River. The plaza extends from the office tower east to the river’s edge and incorporates a new river walk. The plaza and park area offer protected views for all low rise floors as well as a unique amenity for the Project.
The building has been constructed in accordance with the specifications set forth in Exhibit C - Base Building Specifications. The lobbies are furnished with natural stones, architectural glass and stainless steel.
River Point amenities include a club-quality fitness center with locker rooms and showers, a conference center with multiple configurations and capacity sizes, a tenant lounge and approximately 15,000 square feet of commercial retail space, including a Gibsons Restaurant Group fine dining restaurant. Use of the fitness center will be at no charge and will be limited to tenants of the building.
River Point also offers progressive communication technology. The building’s infrastructure will allow several telecom providers to serve the building via separate risers as well as dual electrical feeds from ComEd substations. On-site security is present 7 days/week, 24 hours/day.
