The Hotel de la Marine, located on Place de la Concorde in Paris, is an emblematic historical monument of the capital. Built between 1757 and 1774 by the architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel, it was originally the seat of the Garde Meuble de la Couronne, where royal collections and precious objects were kept.
The Hôtel de la Marine then served as a residence for the ministers of the Navy, hence its name. After a long period of closure and restoration, the building reopened its doors in 2021 as a museum, while also hosting office and retail spaces. Its elegant architecture and sumptuous interiors make it a unique place to discover, offering in particular a breathtaking view of the Place de la Concorde, the Tuileries Garden, and the Seine. It is an essential site for lovers of history, architecture and French heritage.
