Southeastern Development Associates developed a 162-room Home2 Suites by Hilton at the intersection of University Dr. and Lancaster Ave. in Fort Worth, TX. The extended stay hotel’s amenities include a swimming pool, outdoor cooking and dining area, fitness center, gathering area, market pantry, and a guest laundry area. A private parking garage will be provided on site for patrons of the property. The 4-story hotel is set to open by Summer 2020. The development also includes approximately 8,000 s.f. of retail on the ground floor at Lancaster Ave. and Norwood St. in the heart of the Cultural and West Seventh Street Districts. Directly across the street from the development is Farrington Field, the Will Rogers Coliseum which attracts in excess of 2 million visitors annually, and the newly added Dickies Arena to house the stock show, rodeos, concerts, and more. The development is central to the Fort Worth Cultural district which is home to six museums in a relaxing, park-like setting and is considered the museum capital of the Southwest. Popular restaurants and nightlife are within walking distance in the West Seventh Street District.
