Vancouver’s Library Square complex opened to the public in 1995 and encompasses a 21-storey office tower, Vancouver Public Library’s (VPL) central branch and a large public atrium and plaza comprising retail and service space. As per the VPL’s Annual Statistics, over 3,000 people visited the library on a daily basis in 2022. Library Square is centrally located in downtown Vancouver in close vicinity to major public transportation stations, BC Place Stadium and Rogers Arena. Identified as Vancouver’s ‘innovation corridor’, the immediate area is expected to see increased pedestrian traffic with the recent completion of the Deloitte Summit and Post buildings.
