The Property is an irregularly shaped parcel encompassing 4.3 acres and is located at 2957 Everett Road in Freedom Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania. It is located to the south of Altoona, just off I-99 and the Route 220 Hwy - blocks from State Hwy 164 (Woodbury Pike) interchange.
Previous structures on the property have been removed. The northern portion of the property is made up of asphalt and concrete pavement, while the majority of the remainder of the Property is grass covered. Local features include Everett Road and private residences to the east, the railroad tracks (formerly Conrail) to the north and west, private residences to the north, vacant land and a truck service shop to the west, and a residential property, a church and a school to the south.
As indicated above, the west and north property lines are bounded by what is now the East Freedom Short Line Railroad which is part of Everett Railroad (specifically, the portion of their operations that serve customers in and around East Freedom, Pennsylvania). The Everett Railroad operates on 23 miles of former Conrail trackage in Blair County, PA.
This former ExxonMobil fuel terminal that had been located on the property has been remediated and cleared by the PA Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) for nonresidential purposes.
