Hamburg East, one of Lexington’s most exciting and largest new developments, is at the corner I-75 and US-60 (Winchester Road). The 86-acre development includes a 41-acre University of Kentucky Healthcare campus and is immediately adjacent to the new Baptist Health Hamburg medical campus.
Situated to serve Lexington, central Kentucky residents and interstate travelers, Hamburg East set to become a major mixed-use development. The project will include restaurants, hotels, apartments, retail establishments and community green spaces.
It is less than a mile from Costco, Cabela’s, Lowe’s, Wal-Mart, Dick’s, Target and the largest middle school in the county. The master plan community was recently approved for a 274-unit apartment complex.
Hamburg East is contiguous to recent 1,000+ acre Urban Service Boundary expansion by the city of Lexington for 10,000 residential units.
The Economic Development (ED) zoning allows a mix of uses including office, data centers, research, nursing homes, assisted living, restaurants, hotels, convenience/fuel stores, pharmacy and more.
