Bernice King Bullard invested $70,000 in the construction of the two-story brick building, which was completed in January 1920.

In its early years, the building housed a drug store (Doc Anderson's), a barber shop (Sanford Brothers), the U.S. Post Office, Rinaldi's Dry Goods, Rinaldi's Grocery and Meat Market, and Eberti's Hardware on the first floor.
Upper Floors:
The upper floor housed City Hall and, at one time, a bowling alley for duck pins.
