The McArthur, Wirth & Cooney building brightens the westernmost border of the Armory Square Historical District near the Onondaga Creek. Onondaga Dynamo Works built and first occupied this three-story warehouse structure in 1899. McArthur, Wirth & Cooney, a supplier of tools and machinery, had owned the building for most of the 20th century. Like it’s immediate neighbors, the building is of heavy post-and-beam construction. It’s enormous windows and curtain wall type facade combined with it’s centerpiece architectural skylight spanning 60 linear feet attracted the Urban Outfitter's location scouts to the building. Through a multi million dollar renovation, the building offers dynamic space flooded in natural light. Every structural component and operational system has been modernized offering peace of mind and predictable operating costs for the new owner. Whether it be a show room, corporate headquarters, or dining and entertainment venue, the building will compliment any owners desire for creative and useful space.
