Built in 1910, the Leeson and Lineham Block is one of Calgary’s Heritage Buildings located on Stephen Avenue in Downtown Calgary. John Lineham, an entrepreneur and politician from 1886-1892, constructed the Leeson and Lineham Block along with the Empress Hotel in the early 1900s. By doing so, he initiated the construction boom which provided numerous jobs in the city helping to stimulate the Calgary economy. Allied Properties REIT purchased the building in 2011 and has since been restored and renovated.
