The North Branch Corridor is a Planned Manufacturing District (PMD) Industrial Corridor originally created to foster the retention of industrial uses in the City of Chicago. In 2017 the City of Chicago approved a sweeping re-zoning if this area allowing additional uses beyond industrial for the first time in decades.
