Knem is a unique and flexible office complex, located in the heart of the Poblenou neighborhood, in Barcelona. It is composed of three blocks that surround a main garden square with parking for bicycles, a space designed for the collaboration and well-being of users, employees of small and medium-sized companies, in order to create a community of talent within a dynamic environment.
Building A has 700 m2 floors, easily divisible into two modules. The reception of the complex is located in this block, where it is worth highlighting its sculptural staircase that connects to a garden on the common terrace and a Zen garden hidden behind the building.
Building B is composed of six exclusive office duplexes of 240 m2 each with direct access from the common garden plaza. This building has a private terrace that can be reserved for exclusive events, an ideal place for interaction and creativity.
Building C has a wide range of spaces, ranging from 315 m2 to 830 m2, some of them double height, providing a great sense of spaciousness and warmth. It also has two large private terraces.
Knem is built on the former Yute factory “El Cànem”, a symbol of Poblenou's industrial past, known as the “Catalan Manchester”. The current design was designed by Fermín Vázquez's architectural studio, known as b720.
Sustainability is one of the foundations of this complex, which is designed to promote the use of sustainable transport, proof of this is that it has parking for bicycles, electric vehicles, showers and bicycle repair services. It is also a building that has a gray water recycling system, an efficient thermal system and a photovoltaic installation on the roof of the two buildings A and C.
