The Hotel began its history in 1857 and known then as the Ahnapee House. It has always operated as a lodging establishment and a bar. In 1905 the two story wood frame building was rolled back on horse and log and the three story brick structure was built taking on the new front of the building and was also when the restaurant was added to its offerings. The Hotel Stebbins has the distinction of being the longest known operating business in Kewaunee County.
