The building was completed in 1996, a Michael Graves (world-renowned architect) design as the Headquarters' Building for the Delaware River Port Authority. The DRPA owns and operates all of the major bridges between NJ and the Philadelphia area, such as the Ben Franklyn, Walt Whitman, Betsy Ross, and Commodore Barry bridges. In addition, they own the high-speed PATCO line between south Jersey and Philadelphia. The DRPA occupies approximately 65% of the building on the upper 6 floors of the 11 stories. The building has impressive board meeting rooms with views of the Delaware River, Philadelphia skyline, and the battleship New Jersey. Building amenities are a full-service food operation (run by Sodexho), 7x24 security guard services, gated surface parking lot, and adjacent public parking garage.
