The 1929 Art Deco building at 1958 Colorado Blvd. is arguably the most prominent building in Eagle Rock. Just steps from the main thoroughfares of Eagle Rock Blvd and Colorado, this 2nd generation restaurant is a mainstay in Eagle Rock and the adjacent Highland Park, Glendale, South Pasadena, et al. An eye catching corner tower element (double-height storefront) opens to a wood-burning pizza oven (lessee to confirm), plus a standard type-1 hood. Behind original arched windows is warm wood-clad section that previously served as a cocktail lounge, and subsequently a coffee bar. The restaurant previously held a type 47 license and is approved for streetside outdoor seating off the main drag as well.
