Originally constructed in 1888 as a summer home for Mr. & Mrs. Craig and Hellen Heberton as the center of a 55 acre farm. The property was soled in 1913 to Richard M. Cadwalader, Jr. During WW1, the home was used as a convalescent home for wounded soldiers. In 1922 the Auditorium or Sanctuary was constructed which today can accommodate up to 300 people. The currently non-functioning organ, was installed in 1923. in 1942, the property was sold to a Mr. George Gay who lived in the building and then sub-divided the building and donated half of it to the Oreland Baptist Church. In 1987 the building was sold to New Life Presbyterian Church and in 1995 was sold to the current owner.
