Greene Ave Market is available for the first time in 23 years, located just off the corner of Greene Avenue and Cumberland Street, a prime Fort Greene location. Known for years as a great grocery/convenience store, the local customer base is already there. It has been closed for over a year and In fact, there is a blog about the store as concerned neighbors and customers have been waiting for it to be reopened. Foot traffic is ideal at this location, it’s a high traffic pedestrian and car intersection where Fulton meets Greene Ave plus its a transportation hub: there’s a bus stop right in front as well as a subway entrance for the G train just a few feet down the street.
The store is located in a 19th century townhouse so the interior ceilings are high.
Directly in front, there is a front addition/shed to the store where the cut flowers were always located. The building is a wide 21.5feet and it is built about 50ft with a small outdoor space in the back.
