The Marina is located in Paintsville Lake State Park and has 116 covered boat slips and 50 large houseboat slips (with individual electric and internet metering, the marina provides water—it also has a store with a small restaurant space with outdoor seating is included. More slips can be potentially added and demand is there with a 40-person wait list. The plans for expansion have been approved by state according to the owner. This is the only marina on this lake. and the lake water doesn't drop. This lake is Johnson County's water supply.
