Built shortly after the turn of the century, 122 Fifth Avenue is counted as one of the iconic pre-WWI buildings lining Fifth Avenue from 14th to 23rd Streets. The 10 story, 235,000 square foot building is “T”-shaped extending from Fifth Avenue west to span the entire distance from 17th Street to 18th Street. Since taking ownership, Bromley has completely modernized the building with new HVAC systems, elevators, sprinklers, and windows, among other improvements. The upper floors of the building currently serves as the global headquarters of Barnes & Noble Inc and the design studios for Carters/OshKosh. The retail space includes a flagship 28,000-square foot, two-level super store for The GAP and GAP Kids. 122 Fifth has earned WiredNYC rating of Gold for its technology infrastructure which includes building-wide fiber, multiple internet providers and dedicated, secure, equipment telecom rooms.
