Evie’s Bistro and Bakery (the former Wildflour Restaurant and Cafe) in historic Old Southwest has been a landmark in Roanoke for decades. Originally operated as the Wildflour Restaurant and Cafe, the business was rebranded in 2018 as Evie's Bistro and Bakery. Offering casual dining and a most stellar offering of cakes and treats, it is time for Evie to retire and enjoy life. Restaurants such as Evie’s (and they are few and far between) epitomize that unique neighborhood feeling and is a hallmark of what makes Roanoke such a livable City. With an occupancy capacity of over 100 in the unique Quonset hut design that first started life as a neighborhood grocery in 1938, Evie’s can handle the largest or more intimate gatherings.
This offering is for the restaurant and bakery with all equipment and furnishings. The restaurant and main kitchen are located on the first floor. The lower level is dedicated to the bakery with the production of all the cakes, breads and delicious treats that we have come to rely on, either for a slice at lunch or dinner, or to celebrate that special occasion with friends and family.
Until the baton is passed to the next owner, Evie’s will continue to operate. With a loyal following from all corners of the Roanoke Valley, this is an opportunity for the next owner to step in to an ongoing concern and offer their own special touches and vision.
Opportunities like this do not come often. You are welcome to have lunch or dinner at Evie’s but for a tour or answers to any questions, please contact the listing agents Leah Hedrick at 540.797.2174 or Henry Scholz at 540.353.0100.
