This is the former Ponderosa restaurant located at The Crossings shopping center in Elkview, West Virginia. For years it was successful. The building was not up to snuff for the franchise, so a new building was built after the old one was torn down. Following that, a combination of operator difficulties and Ponderosa difficulties caused it to close. It has been vacant for 2-3 years. It's ready for upgrade. It's ready for someone to come in and take over, clean it up, fix it up, add the whatever new equipment would be needed, and take off. The area desperately needs a good sit down restaurant, as Bob Evans recently closed. For the right operator, serving the right kind of food, this is a slam dunk. The owner of the shopping center is flexible as to term and price. What is very important is to get someone in the building and have it operational ASAP. The Bob Evans restaurant closed a couple of years ago, and it was torn down and up on the site was built a Taco Bell. Right across from McDonald's was constructed a Kentucky Fried Chicken. There is nothing in the shopping center for a true sit down meal. For someone in the restaurant business, it can be made very easy to be up and running. The building
was built in 2011. The previous Ponderosa was built in 1979 and was torn down when the new restaurant was built.
