The 10-story base evokes the articulated stone style of surrounding buildings, while above it a sleek 18-story tower becomes a shaft of gently curving glass supported by handsome corner piers. A peaked copper mansard roof with a dramatic lighting scheme crowns the building.

461 is convenient to all its access routes, including subways, buses, major thoroughfares, Port Authority, and the trains at Pennsylvania Station and Grand Central Terminal. It is a short walk From New York's theater district and the best of the city's shops, clubs, banks and restaurants.
