333 SW Taylor Street - Gilbert Bldg, Portland, OR

This is a historic building that was constructed in 1893. It was complelety restored in 1983 and had extensive renovation in 2000. Located close to court house.

The Gilbert Building is a four-story, brick building located in the heart of downtown Portland, at the corner of SW 3rd and Taylor. Proposed renovations will create two highly visible retail spaces, facing SW
Third Avenue and SW Taylor Street. The total area of the two retail spaces will be approximately 3,830 square feet. Renovations will include one additional doorway on SW Third Avenue, two new doorways on SW Taylor and ground level storefront windows. The storefronts, which are primarily glass, will allow great visibility into these active areas from the sidewalks.

Downtown serves a region that includes over 1.9 million people and a downtown employment population in excess of 100,000 people. The trade area served by downtown also includes the affluent West Hills area and the northwest Portland trade area. The retail site is surrounded by a strong daytime population, the Downtown retail core and within a few blocks of the Government District and the World Trade Center. Tom McCall Waterfront park is also located three blocks east of the site and is a popular attraction for walkers, bikers and Portland visitors.

The Gilbert Building is within a few blocks of major retailers including Borders Books and Music, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany.s and the new Nordstrom Rack. SW Third Avenue is also becoming a dining
