Tom McCall Waterfront park is also located three blocks east of the site and is a popular attraction for walkers, bikers and Portland visitors.

The Gilbert Building is within a few blocks of major retailers including Borders Books and Music, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany.s and the new Nordstrom Rack. SW Third Avenue is also becoming a dining
destination for office workers, with the recent addition of The Macaroni Grill and Chipotle Mexican Grill on SW Third Avenue and Yamhill.

Portland's light rail system, MAX, and its regional bus system provide easy access for shoppers coming into Downtown Portland from throughout the region. The Gilbert Building is easily accessible to these shoppers as well as customers entering downtown by car. The Morrison Bridge, accessible from Naito Parkway, is one of the major entries to downtown Portland from I-5 and Eastside neighborhoods. The city-owned parking garages are available for short term customers at reduced rates including a 650 space short term Smart Park Garage adjacent to The Gilbert Building.
