Scallan Properties, Inc. is a small Washington, D.C. based real estate development firm that specializes in small to medium sized mixed-use buildings. Our principal objective is to develop quality apartments, office and retail space within the city of Washington DC. The main principal of the firm is J. Andrew Scallan who has been involved in the real estate industry in the District of Columbia since 1973, working in brokerage, construction and development. All of our projects have required some combination of variances, special exceptions, Historic Preservation Review, Fine Arts, neighborhood comment, etc. To date, J. Andrew Scallan and his firm have completed over 250,000 square feet of office, retail and residential property in the District of Columbia, not including two currently under construction (i.e. Polk Court Apartments and the Lenox School Apartments).
