Randall J. Goodman graduated from The University of Colorado in 1986 with a B.A. in Economics and, for his entire 21-year career, has specialized in retail real estate. Mr. Goodman has been the Principal Managing Member of Goodman Real Estate Services Group LLC since its inception in 1998. Mr. Goodman’s career began at First Western Development, a shopping center developer in Denver, and continued when he relocated in 1992 to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, and joined The Hausman Companies. He has leased ground–up new shopping center developments totaling over four million square feet in the power center and lifestyle center formats. Over the past 15 years he has pre-leased to completion the following power center projects totaling over 2.5 million square feet: Mentor Commons, Creekside Commons, Willoughby Commons, Avon Commons, and Steelyard Commons. He also was the managing broker for the leasing team that pre-leased to completion Cleveland’s first and most prestigious lifestyle center, the 600,000-square-foot Legacy Village. Mr. Goodman has completed in excess of 500 leases or sales and many with the major retailers in the industry including Target, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Costco, Kmart, Kohl’s, Best Buy, Marshalls Old Navy Sears, Michaels, Linens N Things, Dick’s Sporting Goods, PetSmart, OfficeMax, Staples, Petco, Crate N Barrel, Expo Design Center, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Regal Cinemas, Giant Eagle, and many more. He has represented numerous retailers and restaurants, including completing 17 deals for The Home Depot. Today, along with managing the day-to-day operations of Goodman Real Estate Services Group, Mr. Goodman specializes in representing retailers in their site selection process, land assemblage and sales, pre-leasing, and marketing of new developments, and leasing existing properties. Less
