LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS

Signal Hill Technecenter is located in the East Dayton submarket. This submarket is one of the region’s fastest growing and best performing in terms of commercial and residential activity, due primarily to the presence of Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), a major market driver and one of the largest employers in the State of Ohio. In recent years, Wright-Patterson has experienced considerable job growth through wins in the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process. It is projected that an additional 1,200 jobs have been brought to the base via the BRAC process and an additional 2,400 to 3,000 jobs have been created off-site as defense contractors have relocated personnel to the area. With approximately one million residents, the Greater Dayton area is the fourth largest metropolitan region in Ohio. Dayton is one of the nation’s top 90-minute markets, with access to more than 5.6 million people by car and more than 137 million people by air. This rate has been largely a result of the significant decrease in high-paying manufacturing jobs, such as those at the recently closed GM assembly plant in Moraine and three of the six Delphi plants located throughout the
