John Austin joined Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank
in April of 2006. He is the senior retail agent in the
Sacramento/Roseville retail division and has 25 years of overall
experience in retail brokerage, including tenant representation, leasing,
development and investments. Spanning cities throughout the central
valley of California, his efforts have resulted in more than 800
transactions and the development of several major shopping centers in
Northern California.
Prior to joining the firm, John was with CBRE, where he was awarded
the prestigious national Retail Corporate Service Award for his work as
the national manager for the Kmart account. From 1994 through 2001,
John established and managed a national team of 84 brokers, covering
26 states and successfully completed approximately 400 transactions
for Kmart.
John currently represents Sport Chalet, a Southern California-based 53-
store sporting goods chain. In addition, John represents:

On the landlord side, John represents the Kitchell Development

Manteca: Stadium Center, a 440,000 square foot center anchored by
Costco and Kohl’s and Lowe’s, and Stadium Square, soon to be
anchored by Lowe’s.
