Gilbert is Vice President of both Trout Daniel & Associates and Trout Management. Gilbert is actively involved in numerous capacities, including investment and portfolio sales, managing retail and office space, development of large retail and big-box properties, and leasing of retail, land, and office space.

Gilbert has a long-standing interest in strategic business applications of IT and the integration of technology and market research and property management. He brings his years of experience in technology to TD&A, and has worked to raise the technological infrastructure of TD&A through development of Web and mobile applications custom designed for the TD&A sales team. Gilbert is a licensed real estate agent in Maryland.

Originally from Boston, Gilbert’s interests range from real estate, to technology to music.

Gilbert has developed and taught multimedia for Harvard University and Tufts University and worked for Perot Systems where he developed Java-based tools for deep-Web data mining and for Houghton Mifflin where he worked with XML to develop on-the-fly dynamic document delivery tools.

A professional composer, conductor and bassist, Gilbert has conducted and performed with orchestras worldwide, received commissions, awards, scholarships and performances of his compositions in America, Europe and Asia.

Gilbert received his Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and, following three years of work in Athens, Greece, he received his Master’s Degree from Tufts University. Gilbert speaks multiple languages, such as French, German and some modern Greek.

Gilbert is a licensed EMT with the state of Maryland and enjoys riding along with Baltimore City Medic 17 out of Cold Spring Lane and Park Heights. Less
