Mr. Sarath graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications with a minor in Business. Mr. Sarath began his real estate career with Massey Knakal's Queens office in Fall of 2000. He originally handled sales in the Jamaica section of Queens and its surrounding areas but his territory has since expanded.

Mr. Sarath has sold more than 100 buildings with an aggregate value of $400,000,000. He was awarded Massey Knakal's John Holler Salesperson of the Year Award in 2002, 2004 and 2005 and was also the proud recipient of the firm's Nicholas Donovan Award for Outstanding Business Development and Goodwill Promotion in 2002.

Additionally, in 2001, he won the firm's Richard Marcinko Award for Tenacity and Loyalty in the Pursuit of Excellence. In April 2007, Mr. Sarath was awarded the distinction of Real Estate New York magazine's Rising Stars 30 Under 30, given to the best and the brightest of New York Metro commercial real estate's next generation. Recently, Mr. Sarath was ranked a 2008 Top Sales Broker in Queens/Long Island by CoStar.

Mr. Sarath has been an integral part of Massey Knakal's greatest ventures in Jamaica, most notably, bringing The Home Depot to the Jamaica Center. The deal consisted of five property owners and a footprint of more than 120,000 square feet. It took three and a half years to consummate and totaled $75,000,000 in ground lease and sales transactions.

Additionally, Mr. Sarath was involved in the largest sale to date in our Queens division. The multifamily apartment building portfolio traded in 2007 in an all-cash transaction for $118 million and included 14 buildings with a total of 943 units.

Originally from Long Island, Mr. Sarath now resides on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Less
