BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

From 1989 to 1995, Mr. Perkins was President of Weny Bros. & Storms Co., a regional real estate investment and development firm. Mr. Perkins managed a portfolio of properties with tenants such as FAO Schwarz, 3M, DHL Airways, Calvin Klein Cosmetics and Textron.

In 1995 Mr. Perkins became Director of Management Services for NAI James E. Hanson, Inc. with responsibility for third party management of retail, office and industrial properties. Mr. Perkins has earned the industry designation of Certified Property Manager, CPM from the Institute of Real Estate Management.

In 1998, Mr. Perkins became the Managing Director of Corporate Services. In this role, he has assisted clients such as Ingersoll Rand, Cigna, Checkpoint Systems and ITT Industries. When Ingersoll Rand completed the $1.8 billion purchase of Hussmann International, Mr. Perkins assisted Ingersoll Rand in the disposition of real estate throughout the United States, Mexico and Europe. Mr. Perkins has been involved in the acquisition of office space in Jakarta Indonesia, and the preparation of opinions of value in Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and Germany.

Mr. Perkins holds the industry designation, CCIM. A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. The CCIM curriculum consists of four core courses that incorporate the essential CCIM skill sets: financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis for commercial investment real estate. Following the course work, candidates must submit a resume of closed transactions and/or consultations showing a depth of experience in the commercial investment field. After fulfilling these requirements, candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive examination to earn the CCIM designation.

The MCR designation (Master of Corporate Real Estate) focuses on leadership skills and knowledge for managing key corporate real estate functions.

The coursework concentrates on the development of key skills and knowledge required in corporate real estate management. Five years of experience in corporate real estate and a Bachelor's degree or, three years of experience and a Master's degree is required. The coursework includes, Real Estate Transaction's impact on corporate financial statements, Aligning Real estate and business strategy, and performance portfolio management. The capstone options include Leadership and strategic corporate management in Today's economy.

The BCCR designation (Board Certified Corporate Real Estate) is earned by rigorous coursework and passing a series of tests which indicates proficiency in five disciplines key to corporate real estate. The areas include real estate transactions, site selection, two areas of real estate management and Strategic planning. The capstone course incorporates all of these disciplines in a case study format.
