Randy Summers - Commercial Real Estate Showcase

Randy Summers began his real estate career in 1997 with Davis Equity Realty in Weslaco, Texas. This followed a fourteen year banking career as a vice president and lender.

As a General commercial Broker/Associate and Sales Manager, Summers’ experience has given him an opportunity to broker land acquisitions, retail, office and industrial leasing and sales. He has been instrumental in the development and leasing of several community retail centers in the Rio Grande Valley and South Texas area; beginning with the acquisition of the land, working closely with engineers, market analysts, lawyers, landscape architects as well as state and local governments and finally leasing the spaces.
He has received four awards for 100% leasing of centers. In addition to development and leasing he assists several regional and national chains in site selection in the Rio Grande Valley and South Texas.


Local real estate developers and community leaders respect Summers’ creativity and integrity in the real estate business as well as his commitment to the betterment of the community and the Rio Grande Valley. Randy is one of the few commercial brokers in the Rio Grande Valley who holds the prestigious CCIM designation of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Council of the Realtors National Marketing Institute. He is currently serving on the board of the San Antonio/South Texas CCIM Chapter.

Along with this prestigious designation, Summers also holds the chairmanship for the Real Estate CyberSpace Society Chapter in the Rio Grande Valley.

Active in the community and surrounding area, he serves on the board of the Edinburg Children’s Hospital Foundation, and as Past President of the Weslaco Chamber of Commerce, Past President of the Board of Trustees for Mid-Valley Christian School, Past President of the Weslaco Lions Club and the McAllen Lions Club and served on the board of South Texas Educational Technologies, Inc. He also has the distinction of being a former Weslaco Man of the Year honoree. He continues to be actively involved in these organizations as well as others for the betterment of the community and the entire Rio Grande Valley.

He is a graduate of Weslaco High School, attended Texas A & M University and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas, member of the Texas and National Association of Realtors as well as the San Antonio Board of Realtors. Less
