Neil J Simon - Commercial Real Estate Showcase

Neil Simon has over 40 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He is active in the leasing and sale of property and was the Principal/Executive Vice President in charge of leasing for Carey Winston for over 25 years. In addition to hiring many of the office and industrial leasing and sales personnel, he was responsible for building a strong retail services group.

Prior to joining Carey Winston in 1973, Mr. Simon served as a leasing agent for Shannon & Luchs, where he was responsible for office and retail leasing in downtown Washington, as well as all of the surrounding suburban markets.
During his career he has leased several millions of square feet of all types of space on behalf of landlords and tenants including: C&P Telephone, Marriott Corporation, Bell Atlantic, CSC, John Hancock, Prudential, Equitable, and Marine Midland. He has sold shopping centers, office buildings, warehouses and other investment properties. Most recently, he represented ATI Solutions, United Bank and Fairfax Radiology in their searches for major new facilities. In the past two years, he has participated in the sale of over $200 million dollars worth of retail, office, and industrial real estate.
A native Washingtonian, Mr. Simon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from the American University.
He was the 1996 President of the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors (GWCAR), is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Leasing Club and the Million Dollar Sales Club. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and The Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors (GWCAR).
Mr. Simon was the 1994 recipient of the Donald C. Rosinski Award for WDCAR. He has been chairman of a national fundraiser spearheading the “Joe Theismann Tourette Syndrome, Celebrity Golf Classic”, raising awareness and money for research, treatment, and cure of this disorder. Less
