Michael Habif - Commercial Real Estate Showcase

Michael Habif is a principal in Habif Properties where he offers a unique blend of business, legal and real estate skills. He has been involved in all phases of commercial real estate for more than 25 years including acquisition analysis, ownership, management and leasing. He holds a B.A. from Tulane University where he was a Tulane Scholar and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He received his M.B.A. from Tulane University and a law degree from the University of Georgia. At Georgia, he was a Senior Editor of the Georgia Law Review. As an attorney with the firm of Hurt, Richardson, Garner, Todd and Cadenhead for four years, Michael specialized in representing foreign nationals and foreign entities investing in the United States. Prior to devoting his energy full time to real estate, Michael served as president of APD Transmission Parts, a nationwide distributor of automatic transmission parts for passenger cars and light trucks. During his tenure, APD's revenue increased eight fold and new distribution warehouses were opened in New York, Florida, North Carolina and Mississippi. In 2006, Michael oversaw the sale of APD's assets to Linsalata Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Cleveland Ohio. Michael is a 25 year volunteer with the Atlanta Jewish Federation where he held the position of Campaign Co-chair of the Young Leadership Division. He co-chaired Zoo Atlanta's "Beastly Feast" annual fund raiser and served two terms on the Board of Zoo Atlanta. He served on the Oakland Cemetery Board of Trustees and remains active in a number of civic organizations in Atlanta. Less
