PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
W. Joshua Levering (Josh) is Senior Vice President, of NAI James E. Hanson. In this position, Josh oversees office leasing and sales activities within the Company''s multiple regional territories throughout New Jersey. Josh serves as advisor and negotiator for tenants, owners, developers and other entities requiring commercial real estate expertise. He has served as exclusive representative for Verizon, overseeing real estate activities for them throughout New Jersey, New York and Connecticut areas. Additional client representation included AT&T, ITT, ADP, Goya Foods, Nippon Express, State of New Jersey, Union Camp, Dean Witter, Jacoby & Meyers, Prudential and many others.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Mr. Levering has completed over 400 transactions and has sold over 40 buildings with a total of over 5,000,000 square feet.
Sold a 327,000 square foot office complex, Morris Business Campus in Morris Plains, NJ to Commercial Realty Group and was retained for leasing.
Sold a three building portfolio of over 250,000 square feet to Lincoln Property Company
Represented Goya Food''s purchase of a 13-acre land parcel from Northrup Grumman in Long Island, NY where an 180,000 square foot building was constructed for them and a lease/purchase of over 80,000 square feet in Orlando, FL.
Responsible for the sale, leasing and asset management for 744 Broad Street, The Military Park Building, 281 Washington Street and 24 Commerce Street which make up over 1,500,000 square feet of office space in downtown Newark, NJ.
Sold 9 Law Drive, Fairfield, NJ--a 72,318 SF foot class A office building to The Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union
AFFILIATIONS
Mr. Levering is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and served as President of the NJ Chapter for 2005, National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP), National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (NACORE), Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area (IOREBA), and National Association of Realtors (NAR). He is also a member of most major New Jersey Chambers of Commerce, an Associate Member of Urban Land Institute (ULI), a Corporate Board Member of Montclair Economic Development Committee (MEDC), and a past member of the State of New Jersey Cross Acceptance Committee. He also is a Corporate Board Member of the NJ Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges; sits on the New Business Development Committee, the Executive Committee and acts as Chairman of the Building and Property Committee.
