JOSEPH LEVANTO, JR. is the founder and Broker of Record for CRE Brokerage Boston LLC. His reputation precedes him as a specialist in leasing
ground floor commercial retail space. With over 350 retail related transactions to his credit in The City of Boston, he has also been involved in many premier office leasing deals and sales of investment grade commercial properties. Prior to forming CRE, Joe was Principal of Schaffer & Associates LLP for 14 years alongside long time partner and friend Michael Schaffer. From 1989 to 1996 Mr. Levanto was Vice President of Lynch Murphy Walsh and Partners, Inc., (now CB Richard Ellis
New England) where he led their Downtown Retail Leasing Division and partnered with the Investment Sales Division on sales of large scale retail property assignments. He has been retained by numerous private, public and non-profit companies as landlord broker, tenant broker, consultant or arbitrator for matters pertaining to Metro- Boston real estate. He has also published articles and been quoted on numerous occasions in The Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, The Boston Herald, Banker & Tradesman, The Boston Business Journal, Shopping Centers Today, The Real Reporter and The New England Real Estate Journal.
Mr. Levanto graduated from the University of Connecticut School Of Business in Storrs, Connecticut and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He is a licensed Massachusetts Real Estate Broker and over the years has been an active participant with the International
Council of Shopping Centers, International Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives, the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, the Downtown Crossing Association and the Licensing and Building use Committee for the Neighborhood Association of the Back Bay. He also serves on the Board of Overseers for the Institute for International Sport and is a member of
