Joe Esselman - Commercial Real Estate Showcase

Joseph P. Esselman, founder and president of Penn Real Estate, began his real estate career at Inland Real Estate Sales, Inc. in January of 2000. While there, Mr. Esselman was recognized as a top producer, not only within Inland, but also throughout northern Illinois, as evidenced by being named the Inland Real Estate Sales, Inc. Broker of the Year and the Co-Retail Broker of the Year, an honor awarded by the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors (NICAR).

After his time at Inland Real Estate Sales, Inc, he joined Zifkin Real Estate. Specialists in retail leasing and development, he was brough on to augment their sales division. In December of 2007 he founded Penn Real Estate to ensure that each of his clients receive the attention and service that they deserve.

Mr. Esselman has been instrumental in sales totaling over $100,000,000 in commercial real estate. Noteworthy among his recent transactions
are the sale of an $18,150,000 parcel in Chicago's Gold Coast
neighborhood and a $48,000,000+ multi-family complex in northwest
Chicago.

With assignments that run the gamut from multi-family portfolio transactions to retail leasing and investment to the redevelopment of under-performing properties, to industrial disposition, he has experience in all facets of real estate transactions.

Mr. Esselman is a key component in the deal-making process. His dedication, expertise, creativity, and tireless work ethic allow him to
serve the best interests of his varied clients and negotiate transactions that often exceed their expectations.

Mr. Esselman is a member of The Urban Land Institute, REIA, and the
