James A Neckermann - Commercial Real Estate Showcase

James Neckermann serves as a senior advisor for Sperry Van Ness specializing in the sale of industrial, office and investment property in Berlin and Hartford County in Connecticut. With over 35 years of combined real estate experience, he has closed over 250 transactions with a career sales volume valued over $350 million.

Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Neckermann served as owner/broker of the Commercial Real Estate Group where he managed all facets of the firm. He also was previously the lead broker/appraiser for REMAX Commercial Advantage where he engaged in sales, leasing and appraisal activity.

His recent achievements include completing 50 transactions within the last 20 years with one of New England s largest subsidized housing developers in Connecticut and Massachusetts; the 2005 sale of over 150,000 square feet of industrial space in 3 transactions; and being the recipient of the 2003 Fenton P. Futtner Award, an annual statewide award given in honor of volunteer contributions to the Republican Party in the state of Connecticut.

Neckermann s affiliations include Connecticut Association of Realtors; National Board of Realtors; and Accredited Buyer Representative. He has also been a member of the Meriden Y.M.C.A. Board of Directors, served on the Meriden Housing Authority as a board member and its chairman, and was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority.
